Delivery of a Seawater Cooling System for a Live Crab Carrier

On July 23, 2025, BRISK LLC delivered a set of refrigeration and auxiliary equipment to the m/v Taurus, which is undergoing modernization at a ship repair facility in South Korea on behalf of DVKK LLC.

Three RSW (Refrigerated Seawater) units, each with a capacity of 656 kW, maintain the optimal seawater temperature in 10 live crab storage tanks. The system provides a double exchange of 1,002 m³ of water while cooling seawater from +25°C down to +1°C. In addition to the RSW units, the system includes a full set of drive valves, sensors, pumps, recuperative heat exchangers, and aeration equipment. Depending on the seawater temperature, up to 320 m³/h of fresh seawater is supplied to the crab storage tanks. The system features a high level of automation, outstanding reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Technical specialists from the manufacturing company and BRISK LLC are currently carrying out supervision, installation, and commissioning work on board the vessel.
