A project has been developed for the installation of an Aquavit MB10 reverse osmosis freshwater generator on the research vessel «Atlantniro» to supply it with technical fresh water. The unit’s capacity is 10.0 m³ per day.
Freshwater generators are used on ships to produce fresh water from seawater. This makes it possible to provide the crew and equipment with the necessary amount of fresh water when the supply of fresh water is limited or unavailable.
The reverse osmosis unit operates on the principle of filtering seawater through a semi-permeable membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through, retaining salts and other impurities.
The installation project for the freshwater generator includes all necessary documentation for the installation, configuration, and commissioning of the equipment. The unit will also undergo testing to verify its operability and compliance with the stated specifications.
Upon project completion, the «Atlantniro» will be equipped with a reliable source of fresh water, enabling it to carry out its tasks during sea expeditions with maximum efficiency and safety.
