Brisk Design Bureau has completed the concept design phase for a multipurpose sea-going port tugboat of ice class KM⍟ Arc4 (hull; machinery) AUT1, FF3WS, Escort tug, Tug.
Principal characteristics of the tug:
Length overall: 31.9 m
Endurance (fuel): 14 days
Two main engines: approx. 1985 kW each
The vessel is intended for operation in the Arctic region and will be capable of performing the following operations: towing operations for ship berthing and unberthing, towing of ships and floating objects, escort operations, firefighting on other vessels and port facilities, oil spill response (OSR) operations, including the deployment of containment booms and the recovery of oil-water emulsion (with a flashpoint above 60°C) from the sea surface and its transportation, transportation of deck cargo, including one 20′ or two 10′ containers.
The construction of vessels under this project is planned to take place in China at the Guangzhou Yitao Marine Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. shipyard, which has offered a price of less than 8 million USD, depending on the selected equipment package.
